Karyotype: 2n = 46 and NF = 56, unpublished data (J.F.S. Lima), mentioned by Bonvicino et al. (2014, pp. 531, Table I). This karyotype seems to be the same reported by Maia & Hulak (1981) for samples from Pernambuco, Brazil ( Table 2). However, it was not possible to compare the two karyotypes, since metaphase plate of the former was not available.
