13. Crotalaria evolvuloides Wight (1834: 188) View in CoL . Type (lectotype designated by Ansari 2008):— INDIA. Madras: Wallich 5410 (lectotype CAL n.v., isolectotypes E00174373!, K000633877!, K-W K001120891!).
Herb, erect, 30–50 cm high; young branches terete, brown pubescent. Leaves simple. Stipules triangular, 3–5.5 × 0.5–1 mm, brown pubescent, persistent. Petioles 1.5–2 mm long, brown pubescent. Lamina ovate-lanceolate, 2–4.5 × 0.9– 1.7 cm, base cuneate, apex acute, margin entire, both surfaces brown puberulous; lateral veins 4–6 pairs. Inflorescences terminal or leaf-opposed, open racemes, 8–15 cm long; peduncle 4–6 cm long, brown pubescent. Bracts triangular, 2.5–3 × 0.8–1 mm, persistent. Pedicels 3–5 mm long, brown pubescent. Bracteoles inserted on the calyx tube, narrowly linear, 3–5 mm long, caducous. Calyx 5–7 mm long, campanulate, bilabiate; tube 1–3 mm long; lobes triangular, 4–5 × 0.8–1 mm, glabrous inside, brown puberulous outside. Corolla yellow. Standard: claw 1–1.2 mm long, white tomentose above and along the margin, glabrous below; blade obovate, 5–6 × 5–7 mm, base cuneate, apex emarginate, margin glabrous. Wings: claw 1.5–2 mm long, glabrous; blade oblong, 4.5–5 × 1.8–2 mm, base oblique, apex rounded, margin glabrous. Keel: claw 1–1.2 mm long, glabrous, margin white tomentose; blade ovate, 6–7 × 4.5–5 mm, beak spirally twisted, base obtuse, apex attenuate, margin glabrous. Stamens: filaments fused for proximal 3–4 mm, free for distal 3–5 mm; anthers either narrowly linear, 0.2–0.3 mm long or orbicular, very small, ca. 0.1 mm long. Ovary sessile, oblong, 4–5 mm long, dark brown tomentose; style 5–6 mm long. Pods sessile, oblong, 1.5–2.5 × 0.6–0.8 cm, brown, brown pubescence. Seeds reniform, 2.8–4 × 2–3 mm, brown.
Representative specimens: — VIETNAM. Dak Lak: 16 December 1979, Khoi 794 ( HN) .

Ecology: —Elevation ca. 600 m.
Notes: — Crotalaria evolvuloides is recognized by its ovate-lanceolate leaves, persistent triangular stipules and bracts and caducous bracteoles.
