Shrublet, 0.7–2 m high; young branches angular, silvery pubescent. Leaves digitately 3-foliolate. Stipules narrowly linear, 1.3–4.7 mm long, silvery pubescent, caducous. Petioles 0.8–4.5 cm long, brown pubescent. Petiolules 1–3 mm long. Leaflets elliptic, 1.3–7.5 × 0.4–2.3 cm, base cuneate, apex acute or obtuse, margin entire, glabrous upper, brown puberulous lower; lateral veins 7–8 pairs, inconspicuous. Inflorescences terminal, open racemes, 10–30 cm long; peduncle 2.8–7.5 cm long, brown pubescent. Bracts narrowly linear, 5–10 mm long, caducous. Pedicels 3–9 mm long, brown pubescent. Bracteoles inserted in the middle of the pedicel, narrowly linear, 5–10 mm long, caducous. Calyx View in CoL 6–10 mm long, campanulate, bilabiate; tube 3–5 mm long; lobes triangular, 3–5 × 1–2 mm long, glabrous inside, brown pubescent outside. Corolla View in CoL yellow. Standard: claw 4–4.2 mm long, white tomentose above and along the margin, glabrous below; blade broadly elliptic, 11–12 × 18–20 mm, base obtuse, apex emarginate, margin glabrous. Wings: claw 3–4 mm long, glabrous; blade oblong, 13–15 × 5–7 mm, base oblique, apex rounded, margin glabrous. Keel: claw 3.8–4 mm long, glabrous; blade ovate, 9–10 × 6–7 mm, beak not twisted, base oblique, apex attenuate, margin glabrous. Stamens: filaments fused for proximal 7–8 mm, free for distal 5–8 mm; anthers either narrowly linear, 2.3–2.5 mm long or oblong, 0.8–1 mm long. Ovary with 1.8–2 mm long stipe, oblong, 7–8 mm long, brown pubescent; style 9–10 mm long, adaxially white puberulous in a single line along the distal edge, abaxially glabrous. Pods with 5–7 mm long stipe, oblong, 3.5–3.8 × 1–1.5 cm, brown with brown puberulous indument. Seeds reniform, 4–5 × 2–3 mm, brown-black.

Notes: — Crotalaria micans is recognized by its elliptic digitately 3-foliolate leaves, terminal inflorescences, caducous bracts, bracteoles that are inserted in the middle of pedicel, emarginate strandard apex, stipitate ovary and puberulous pods.
