Diagnosis. Body medium. Median ocellus conspicuously large, lateral ocelli small. Tegmina and hind wings comparatively short, usually not reaching apex of abdomen, veins of tegmina subparallel, the color pattern of tegmina and hind wings with light veins and brown cells. Male ninth abdominal tergite with a pair of projections at apex, which are larger, often with broad trunk and with a narrow appendage. Male subgenital plate with styli. Ovipositor comparatively short, distinctly upcurved.
