Genus Heterocotinis Martínez, 1948

Gymnetis terminata Gory and Percheron, 1833: 340 . Lectotype female ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37 – 45 ) at MHNG, labeled: Brasilia / Gory, Type / my red lectotype label. Lectotype here designated.

Gory and Percheron did not indicate in their description how many specimens they had. The lectotype does not have the same markings as the specimen illustrated in their monograph, thus suggesting there was more than a single specimen. This is my rationale for a lectotype designation rather than a holotype designation. I was unable to locate any of the paralectotypes.
