Diagnosis. The forewing length is 11.0– 11.5 mm in males. According to Kühne (2007), the wingspan of the female is 27 mm. Siccia anserina is one of the largest Afrotropical species in the genus. It is most externally similar to S. chilambwe , but distinguished by the longer rami of the male antenna and the smaller spots of the forewing pattern. The genitalia of both sexes of the two species are fundamentally different. The detailed comparison with S. kuehnei is provided below in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Molecular data. Currently unavailable for this species.
Distribution. The species is currently known from western Kenya ( Kühne 2007), Uganda and Democratic Republic of the Congo (North Kivu Province).
