Scapteriscus didactylus ( Latreille, 1804)

Rehn, 1909: 217; Cardin, 1913: 330; Nickle and Castner, 1984: 461; Frank and McCoy, 2014: 3.

Distribution. Cuba?, Southern Florida, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, St. Vincent, Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe and U. S. Virgin Islands.

Notes. Frank and McCoy (2014) state that this species is not found in Cuba. However, S. didactylus is thought to have a wide distribution in the West Indies ( Rehn, 1909). This question should be resolved through further study of the specimens available in Cuban collections.
