Eclytus transsylvanicus KISS 1924: 119 f. – Holotypus (!): "Kékes Dr. Kiss" (= Chiochis/ Rumänien) und Determinationsetikett, Budapest. Kiss hat den Typus irrtümlich für 1 gehalten. Dem Typus fehlen grosse Teile der Fühler.

Gültiger Name: Phobetes latipes THOMSON 1895 View in CoL (syn.nov.). Bereits ROMAN (1939: 102 f.) hat E. transsylvanicus mit Bedenken zu latipes gestellt. Weil AUBERT (1984: 55) P. latipes View in CoL irrtümlich mit P. nigriceps (GRAVENHORST) View in CoL synonymisiert hat, stand E. transsylvanicus bisher als Synonym unter nigriceps (YU & HORSTMANN 1997: 416) View in CoL .
