Aspicera tenuispina Kieffer, 1904 “ incertae sedis ”
Aspicera tenuispina Kieffer, 1904: 631
The type material of Aspicera tenuispina Kieffer, 1901 is presumably lost. The original description does not give some important diagnostic characters of Aspicera . Nevertheless, Kieffer (1904) mentions that this species has big scutellar foveae, almost forming one transversal fovea divided in the middle by a thin longitudinal carina; Kieffer also mentions that the scutellar spine narrows abruptly into a very thin little spine; these two characters are not found in any known species of Aspicera , but they are present in some species of Prosaspicera . For this reason, we must consider this species as 'incertae sedis'.
