Syntypes: — [ IRAQ] Iraqian Kurdistan , Sulaimani district, Pir-i-Mukurun Dagh, rocks near the snow, 19 September 1933, Eig & Duvdevani ( HUJ) ; ibid., Mergapan , rocks, 1200‒1300 m, 19 September 1933, Zohary & Amdursky ( HUJ) .

Specimens seen: — TURKEY. Hakkari: Cilo Mountain, Diz Deresi , 1765 m, 06 August 1954, Davis & O. Polunin 24009 ( K) ; Cilo Mountain, in Diz Deresi , shady places, 5800 ft., 06 August 1954, Davis & O. Polunin 24008 ( WU) .

Flowering time:— August.

Habitat:— Wet shady rocks and crevices. 1200‒3750 m elevation.

Distribution:— Irano-Turanian element.

Note: — Scrophularia kurdica was not collected during the field studies in the distribution area in Hakkari district. Unfortunately, we could nott undetake field study at some locations for security reasons. We investigated the herbarium material of the species and considered it for the identification key.
