Flowering time: —July–August.

Habitat: —Calcareous rocky, gravelly and rocky slopes, cliffs. 1100‒2800 m elevation.

Distribution: —Endemic. Mediterranean element.

Note: — When collections of S. candelabrum were examined, we observed that the younger individuals showed slender stem and cymes reduced to 1–2 flowers. They therefore match the description of S. uniflora Richt. ex Starpf , which was ranked as a species imperfectly known in Flora of Turkey. So, we conclude that S. uniflora is just a misdiagnosis of young specimens of S. candelabrum .
