Psammodesmus chuncho: Hoffman 1953b: 304 View in CoL (combination; in dichotomous key); Martínez-Torres 2016: 49 (considered as species inquirenda).

Types: ♂ holotype from Peru: Iquitos; VIII-1926. Originally deposited at the AMNH, cat. no. 9 492 ( Chamberlin 1941), it is currently lost ( Martínez-Torres 2016).

Distribution: known only from the type locality.
