Pristoceuthophilus View in CoL sp.
( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 )
Pristoceuthophilus Rehn brings together 13 species distributed between Mexico and Canada, of which P. rhoadsi Rehn and P. pedanus Strohecker were reported in Mexican territory, particularly in the state of Michoacán ( Rehn, 1903, Cigliano et al., 2018).
We collected nine individuals and several immature females in the months of December and May. What little is known about the species of this genus (data from USA species) is that is found between cracks of large rocks, hollow logs and some in caves there are also inhabitants of Quercus , ( Haley & Gray, 2012; Conroy, 2014; Conroy & Gray, 2015). Like the previous species, it is possible that individuals of this morph species are also omnivores, leave their daytime shelter after dark, and reach the carrion traps installed to feed on carrion or take refuge.
