Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan Province, Eryuan County, Niujie Town, Meici River (26°6'N, 99°56'E), 2332 m a.s.l., light trap, 1 male (BDN No. 09805), 2.vi.1996, Beixin Wang; Yunnan Province, Wuding County, Mashan Town (25°33' N, 102°21' E), 2419 m a.s.l., light trap, 1 male (BDN No. 09584), 1.vi.1996, Xinhua Wang.
Diagnostic characters. The species differs from other East Asian members of the genus by antenna with 11 flagellomeres, AR 0.40–0.45; superior volsella anteriomedially fused and in contact with the well developed and more or less rectangular inferior volsella.
Remarks. The Chinese specimens are with AR 0.40–0.45 instead of AR 0.60–0.76 stated by Schlee (1968). All other characters are similar to those of T. obscura Brundin ( Schlee 1968) .
Distribution. Europe, Russian Far East and China (Yunnan Province).
