Material examined. CHINA: Sichuan Province, Litang County, Shiliang River (30°2΄ N, 100° 17΄ E), 3750 m a.s.l., light trap, 2 males (BDN No. 11665, 11666), 13.vi.1996, Xinhua Wang.
Diagnostic characters. The species can be separated from other members of the genus by having hairy eyes, 11 flagellomeres, AR c. 0.3, nearly rectangular inferior volsella, and apex of gonostylus nearly straight.
Emended description. Ultimate flagellomere 143–145 µm long, AR 0.33–0.34. Superior volsella developed and rounded, anteriomedially fused, inferior volsella developed, almost rectangular. Transverse sternapodeme narrow, 40 µm long; coxapodeme 30 µm long; phallapodeme slightly curved, 50 µm long, with basal projection. HR 2.1–3.0, 2.6. HV 3.8–4.0, 3.9.
Distribution. Europe, North Africa, the Near East, Mongolia, Russian Far East and China (Sichuan Province).
