Protearomyia jonesi View in CoL

Distribution: Finland, Germany, United Kingdom.

Remarks: With only four specimens known at present it is difficult to fully assess the habitat requirements. In continental Europe captures have been made on a road verge, in a vineyard and in a pine-beech forest. In the British Isles it has been taken by sweeping birch ( Betula spp. ) and beech ( Fagus sylvatica L.) foliage in a mixed conifer and broadleaf plantation. The known flight period is between April and June.
