Distribution: India: India (Sabathu) (Warren, 1912; László et al., 2007); Indian Himalayas ( Kim et al., 2006), Himachal Pradesh ( László et al., 2007). Elsewhere: China (Yunnan, Sichuan, Tibet), Nepal ( László et al., 2007).
Remarks: The species is widely distributed and represented by five subspecies: the nominate one occurs in the Pacific region ( Japan, Russian Far East, Korea), T. consimilis c-album ( Matsumura, 1931) is endemic to Taiwan, T. consimilis commifera (Warren, 1912) is distributed from Himachal Pradesh through Nepal and Sikkim to Yunnan, Sichuan and the Wuyshan areas in China, T. consimilis aurisigna ( Bryk, 1943) occurs in the northern regions of Indochina and Malaysia, finally T. consimilis congener (Roepke, 1945) is supposedly endemic to Sumatra ( László et al., 2007).
