Acanthoventris charrua Ruschel (in Ruschel et al.) 2023: 46 (Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil).

Remarks. This species has been associated with the Chacoan and Parana phytogeographic dominions in Brazil ( Ruschel et al. 2023) with the majority of records in the southern part of the Parana dominion. The new records extend northward through the Chacoan and Parana dominions as outlined by Ruchel et al. (2023) based on the Neotropical divisions of Morrone et al. (2022).

Distribution. The species was previously known only from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil ( Ruschel et al. 2023). The range is extended here northward into the states of S ã o Paulo and Minas Gerias, Brazil.
