Oligosita breviclavata Yousuf & Shafee, 1988: 148 View in CoL –150, ♀, India, Uttar Pradesh, Aligarh (ZDAMU, examined). (Paratypes from Aligarh, Agraand Jaipur, examined.)
Oligosita breviclavata Yousuf & Shafee View in CoL : Hayat, 2008: 9 –10, ♀, figures, taxonomy. Begum & Anis, 2013: 45, list. Begum & Anis, 2014: 9, checklist.

Head, in frontal view, broader than high; ocelli arranged in obtuse triangle; eye height 2.78× as long as malar space (39:14). Mandible tridentate. Antenna ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11 – 13 ) with scape 2.5−2.7× as long as broad; funicle broader than long (9:7); clava short, 1.5−1.91× as long as broad; apical segment of clava with a rod-like projection.
Mesosoma. Mesoscutum and scutellum each with 1+1 setae; mid lobe of mesoscutum about 1.4× as broad as long (40:29); scutellum about 1.7× as broad as long (32:19); propodeum longer than metanotum (11:3). Fore wing ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11 – 13 ) about 3.9× as long as broad (136:35); marginal fringe 1.31×as long as wing width (46:35); hind wing 23.33× as long as broad (140:6); marginal fringe 6.83×as long as wing width (41:6).
Metasoma. Gaster longer than mesosoma (98:70); ovipositor long, 1.66–1.9× as long as hind tibia, originating from TIII and not exserted.
Male. Unknown.
Type material examined. Holotype, ♀ (on 2 slides), labelled “419 Oligosita breviclava sp.n. M. Yousuf Aligarh 17.viii.1985 ” and a ticket with ‘Holotype’ written with red ink ( ZDAMU, HYM. CH.346).
Paratypes: 1 ♀ (on slide), labelled “499 Oligosita breviclava A.K.C. Agra 21.xi.1985 ”; 1 ♀ (on slide), labelled “465 Oligosita breviclava M. Yousuf Jaipur 16.xi.1985; 3♀ out of 6 ♀ (on one slide), labelled “417 Oligosita breviclava M. Yousuf Aligarh 17.viii.1985 ” ( ZDAMU, HYM. CH.346).
Additional material examined. INDIA: UTTAR PRADESH: Aligarh, Dept. of Zoology, 1 ♀, 5.viii.2009, coll. F.R. Khan ( ZDAMU).
Distribution. India: Rajasthan; Uttar Pradesh.
Comments. The original description of this species was based on 6 females. The holotype is on two slides, one slide with one antenna and one fore wing under a large coverslip, and the rest of the body (head detached, antenna folded) on another slide under a small coverslip. There are three slides each labelled ‘Paratype’ in green ink, and these bear the data as published; one from Agra (number 499), one from Jaipur (number 465) and 6 specimens from Aligarh (417). There is no indication which 3 of these 6 specimens from Aligarh are paratypes.
This species appears to be very similar to O. brevicornis Lin (1994) but differs from the latter in having the fore wing 3.88× as long as broad, scape 2.5–2.7× as long as broad, and clava 1.9× as long as broad. In O. brevicornis the fore wing is 3.7× as long as broad, scape about 3× as long as broad, and clava 1.8× as long as broad.
