Male. Integument mostly reddish brown, nearly black on head, pro-, meso- and metathorax; somewhat paler in legs, tarsi, antennae, and abdominal ventrites; basal third of elytra darkened, light reddish brown on distal 2/3.
Prothorax transverse, wider anteriorly; lateral margins rounded, slightly convergent anteriorly ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ); anterior margin straight; prothorax narrowly constricted posteriorly. With coarse, dense, coalescent punctation on surface of prothorax giving corrugated appearance, except wide, shining central area of pronotum with differentiated sculpturing, and smooth on its posterocentral half. With one small, elliptical, oblique, shining callosities each side of posterior half of pronotum ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ); sides of prothorax with shining, irregular, longitudinal callosity scarcely visible from above ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ) in anterior half, and a third smaller, rounded, well-defined placed in posterior half ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ). Elytral punctation dense, punctures not coalescent and progressively less well-marked from middle toward apex ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ). Ventral punctuation dense, fine; with short, abundant yellowish setae. Legs with fine punctures.
Genitalia. Tegmen with broad distal region, divided into two parameres, with rounded apices and short setae ( Fig. 9a View FIGURE 9 ). Middle lobe: ventral lobe elongate, with rounded apex; basal processes shorter than apical portion ( Fig. 9b View FIGURE 9 ). Internal sac with two sclerotized, sinuous pieces ( Fig. 9c View FIGURE 9 ).
Measurements (mm): prothorax length, 8.2; maximum prothoracic width, 11.3; humeral width, 11.2; elytral length, 28.7; total length (from apex of mandible to elytral apex), 46.2.
Female: unknown.
