Diagnosis. For main external morphology, see Amsel (1961). They have a distinct variation in the ground color of both fore- and hindwings. Most specimens have brown to yellowish-brown wings both in upper- and underside ( Figs 6C, D View FIGURE 6 ); while few of them are light brown ( Figs 6A, B View FIGURE 6 ). Although E. comealis is very similar to E. caesialis in external view, they differ from each other in some characters of the male genitalia: (1) in E. caesialis uncus is in the shape of elongated triangle laterally ( Fig. 2F View FIGURE 2 ); while in the same view, in all examined specimens of E. comealis , it is slightly expanded and then narrowed distally, with an oblique apex ( Figs 7A, D View FIGURE 7 ); (2) ventral surface of the gnathos in E. caesialis is densely toothed at distal half ( Figs 2G, H View FIGURE 2 ) comparing to being distantly separated in E. comeali s ( Fig. 7D View FIGURE 7 ); (3) E. comealis shows two clusters of cornuti at the distal end of phallus ( Figs 7A, G View FIGURE 7 ) in contrast to one small cluster in E. caesialis ( Figs 2E, I View FIGURE 2 ). Considering the female genitalia, only minor variations in the length of colliculum and the shape of folded area at the posterior end of ductus bursae ( Figs 5A, B, D, E, G, H View FIGURE 5 ) were observed in both species.
Based on direct examination of the E. caesialis and E. caesialis comealis specimens of Amsel's collection and those differences mentioned above, E. caesialis comealis is here raised to the species level, E. comealis . Distribution. Iran (Komehr, Komehr- Kakan Rd.) ( Amsel 1961).
