Dorstenia brownii Rendle (1915: 299) ( Fig. 5 )

RWANDA. Western Province, Nyungwe National Park, Cyamudongo Forest, understorey of montane rainforest, 3 April 2005, alt. 1850 m, Eb. Fischer 1112–2005 ( KOBL).

Dorstenia brownii is recorded from Rwanda for the first time. It is otherwise known from rainforests in Southern Sudan, Ethiopia, Eastern D.R. Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania between 900 and 1900 m ( Berg & Hijman 1999, Hijman 1989).
