Male calls only at night. Duration of the pulses: 15.3 ± 1.6 ms (12–19 ms); duration of echemes: 0.5 ± 0.05 s (0.4– 0.6 s); mute interval between echemes: 0.07 ± 0.01 s (0.49– 0.12 s); bandwidth: 17.6 ± 0.3 kHz (16.8–18.6 kHz); peak frequency: 28.5 ± 0.8 kHz (23.8– 30.4 kHz). This is the only species of Conocephalus studied herein for which the peak frequency of the calling song is situated in the ultrasound; due to the large bandwidth the sound can be heard, but it is quite soft.
