DESCRIPTION. — A densely squamose, pale grey species, usually having some pink sheen. Antennae slightly passing hind margin of eyes. Elytra distinctive for lacking tubercles at top of declivity, having instead interstriae 3 and 5 raised to low ridges.

Male: tergite 7 broadly rounded, rather subtruncate. Sternite 9 with slender, weakly curved apodeme, with small expansion at apex. Aedeagal body as long as or up to 1.10 x longer than apodemes, weakly curved, acutely pointed at apex, shallowly emarginate at base; flagellum about as long as aedeagal body, evenly thick, lacking a heavily pigmented base.

Female: sternite 8 with slender apodeme; blade narrowly rounded. Distal hemisternites gently tapering, apical margin below styli distinctly oblique in relation to axis, with a very shallow concave curvature in it. Spermathecal duct extension elongate, gently curving away from stem; duct long, moderately thick, coiled for good part of length; stem lacking gland extension, only slightly thickened at this point.

Length: 6.3-8.8 mm.

TYPE MATERIAL . — No original specimens seen. Identified non-type specimens with BPBM, IRSN, NZAC .

MATERIAL EXAMINED. — New Caledonia. Baie de Prony , Nouméa. Loyalty Is. Lifou (Oué), Maré (Tadine). 25 specimens .

ETYMOLOGY. — ‘Cícur’ is Latin for peaceful, probably because of lacking large tubercles on elytra.
