Subfamily RHYNCHITINAE

One species of Attelabidae has so far turned up in the collections from the area of this study. It belongs to the subfamily Rhynchitinae . It is a member of the Australian Auletobius suturalis species group. Voss (1922) saw specimens from New Caledonia reporting them, in error, as belonging to a described species of Australia. Earlier on, Perroud (1865) described a species in the genus Rhynchites which is transferred to the family Curculionidae in this paper (see Strabonus ).
