Material examined. Type. Holotype ♀: CONGO: Upemba National Park, Lusinga, right tributary of Kenia (right tributary of Lufwa), 1585 m, 19.XII.1947, G.F. de Witte Mission ( MRAC). Other material. KENYA: Coast Province, Shimba Hills National Park, 04°23.456'S 39°41.687'E, 389 m, Malaise trap, just inside Longomwagandi Forest, 19.XI–3.XII.2008, R. Copeland leg., 1♀ ( NMK).

Redescription. Female ( Figs 1, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ): apterous; length 3.1 mm. Holotype with head brown-reddish, except mandible, clypeus and anterior region of face yellow; antenna yellow, except segments 8–10 brown; mesosoma brown-reddish, except distal extremity of propodeum yellow; petiole black; metasoma brown-reddish; legs brownreddish, except tarsi yellow. In specimen from Kenya, 04°23.456'S 39°41.687'E, head completely testaceous, except vertex darkened, antenna and mesosoma testaceous, metasoma partly brown, legs testaceous, except club of profemur darkened. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 8:6:20:11:9:7.5:5.5:6:5:9. Head excavated, dull, granulated; POL = 1; OL = 2; OOL = 9. Palpal formula 5/3. Pronotum shiny, with short irregular keels, crossed by strong transverse furrow. Scutum sculptured by longitudinal keels. Scutellum shiny and smooth. Metanotum little hollow behind the scutellum ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ), with sides protruding; lateral protrusions of metanotum pointed. Metathorax + propodeum shiny, as sculptured as pronotum with strong median longitudinal furrow, with posterior surface transversely striate. Holotype with mesopleuron and metapleuron not transversely striate; in specimen from Kenya, 04°23.456'S 39°41.687'E, mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Mesometapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsal segments in following proportions: 9:2:4:10:16. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) with two rows of approximately 12–17 lamellae; distal apex with approximately 16–20 lamellae. In specimen from Kenya, 04°23.456'S 39°41.687'E, segment 5 of protarsus with medial lamellae situated in distal half of segment. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of seven lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
