Report associated with sponges: This species was reported among sponge Geodia sp. from Rovinj (Rovigno) (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) ( Viets 1940).

Remarks: This species is widely distributed in the Mediterranean Sea (Adriatic Sea and Aegean Sea), Black Sea among various substrata ( Chatterjee et al. 2019).
