Report associated with sponges: This species was reported from Esperance, Duke of Orleans Bay among demosponge with epiflora ( Bartsch 2007).

Remarks: This species was reported in various tidal and subtidal substrata from southwestern and eastern Australia ( Bartsch 1986; Otto 1994).
