Report associated with sponges: This species was reported among sponge Aplysina sp. from Rovinj (Rovigno), Croatia (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) ( Viets 1940); among Aplysina aerophoba from Split, Croatia (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) (Viets 1939, 1940).

Remarks: This species was also reported associated with algae from Rovinj (Rovigno), Croatia (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) ( Viets 1940). This was found in various shallow water substrata from southeastern Northatlantic and Mediterranean Sea ( Bartsch 2009).
