Report associated with sponges: This species was reported among sponges from the Mediterranean Sea ( André 1929, 1946); among sponge Aplysina sp. from Rovinj, Croatia (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) ( Viets 1940); among Aplysina aerophoba from Split, Croatia (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) (Viets 1939, 1940).

Remarks: This species has been reported among mud, algae, and bryozoans from Rovinj, Croatia (Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean Sea) ( Viets 1940). This species was reported from various subtidal substrata in northeastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea ( Bartsch 2009).
