Geographical range.
The genus Hamma View in CoL is entirely Afrotropical ( Wallace & Deitz 2004).
Diagnosis (mainly based on Buckton 1905 and Capener1968).
Genus of tribus Centrotini Amyot and Serville, 1843; pronotum convex, tuberculate; posterior pronotal process bisinuate, and bi- up to quadrinodate, robust and arching over scutellum; scutellum wider than long, basally a little convex, slightly apically upturned and broadly concavely emarginate. Tegmina with a large pterostigma, and five apical and two discoidal cells.
