Barsine pseudocardinalis View in CoL species-group
Diagnosis. Externally, the species-group is characterized by the moderately broad forewings, presence of a black spot in cilia connecting the longitudinal strip, broad hind wings and the poorly developed sexual dimorphism. The male genitalia are similar to those of the Barsine prominens (Moore) species-group established and illustrated by Volynkin & Černý (2016), and differ from other species-groups of the B. cardinalis – anomala 'species-complex' by the well developed medial costal process, and presence of two clusters of numerous small but robust cornuti on medial diverticula of vesica; the female genitalia are characterized by the rugose lateral margins of ostium bursae, the long, well sclerotized ductus bursae and the large ovoid corpus bursae with the heavily sclerotized and rugose posterior section with thin spinulose scobination and a heavily sclerotized, rugose and dentate band-like plate, and presence of a long, band-like signum in the anterior section.
