Material. Type material was not examined.

Diagnosis. Harpactea gaditana is very similar to H. henriquesi sp. nov. in thin body with relatively long legs and genitalic morphology. It differs from H. henriquesi sp. nov. by slightly larger body ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ), less curved embolus ( Fig. 4B—e View FIGURE 4 ), the base of embolus is not covered by the base of conductor.
Ecology. Adults can be found in spring (March–June).
Distribution. It occurs in southern Spain (near the town Vejer in Cadiz province, Pesarini 1988) and eastern Portugal. In western Portugal it is replaced by the sibling species H. henriquesi sp. nov.
