SHSU 1-235. Mandibular symphysis, with partial left dentary ramus preserving alveoli for two teeth. The symphyseal region has a relatively shallow dorsoventral depth. The ventral surface is abraded on the left side, but the preserved portion of the right side includes a low, rounded, ventrally projecting boss. The low projection and shallow depth of the mandible at the symphysis are apomorphic and diagnostic of Trichechus manatus bakerorum ( Domning, 2005) . Depth at the symphyseal line is 4.1 cm; width across the symphysis is 5.2 cm. From the Joe Liggio collection.
