Maiestas webbi sp. nov.

Length. Male: 4.2–4.3mm; female: 4.8–5.2mm.

Stramineous. Vertex light yellow with light brown or brown marks ( Fig. 29 A; Plate IV: A); frontoclypeus with fuscous arcs. Pronotum and scutellum with six dark yellow longitudinal stripes ( Fig. 29 A; Plate IV: A). Leg marked with dark brown.

Forewing macropterous, inner anteapical cell closed basally.

Male genitalia. Subgenital plate very short, as long as wide, lateral margin and apex broadly rounded ( Fig. 29 D); style preapical lobe relatively long and narrow, apophysis digitate, abruptly tapered distally to narrow apex, slightly laterally curved ( Fig. 29 E); connective nearly as long as aedeagus, aedeagus with well developed basal heel, shaft moderately long, with apex slightly upturned ( Figs 29 F, 29G).

Female genitalia. Hind margin of seventh sternum as in Plate V: O and Plate VI: O.

Material examined. Holotype: ɗ, China, Shaanxi Prov., Liuba, 20 July 1995, coll. Zhang Wenzhou & Ren Liyun. Paratypes: China: 3ɗɗ, 5ΨΨ, same data as holotype; Shaanxi Prov.: 4ΨΨ, Liuba, 18, 19 July 1995, coll. Zhang Wenzhou & Ren Liyun; Zhejiang Prov.: 6ɗɗ, 5ΨΨ, Wulingkeng, 11 August 2003, coll. Dai Wu; Fujian Prov.: 2ɗ, Mt. Wuyishan, Pikeng, 20 July 2003 (1ɗ, BMNH); 1ɗ, Jiangshi, 30 July 2003; 1ɗ, Mt. Longxishani, 5 August 2003. All collected by Yang Meixia and NWAFU, except where indicated.

Remarks. This species can be distinguished by rounded apex of subgenital plate ( Fig. 29 D) and basal heel of the aedeagus ( Fig. 29 G).

Etymology. This species is named for M. D. Webb who has made excellent contributions to the taxonomy of the Deltocephalus group.
