4. Limonium roridum View in CoL group.―This unusual group includes only two species, L. roridum and L. ammophilon . Both are widespread in the Aegean area. They are glaucous plants, densely covered with crateriform glands, and have rigid stems that are fragile at the nodes. The stems are proliferous and have numerous sterile branches. The leaves are both fleshy and rigid, the spikelets are arranged remotely and the inner bracts are hairy. Both L. roridum and L. ammophilon are apomictic, with 2n = 42 and 2n = 43 respectively.
