Anthribus vagus (Horn, 1894: 359,448); Valentine, 1972: 3 (according to this paper, type material in California Academy of Sciences probably destroyed); Valentine, 1998: 276; Rheinheimer, 2004: 83 (catalog). Type locality: Mexico: Baja California Sur.

Neanthribus hyeronimus Jordan, 1906: 343 ; Wolfrum, 1929: 79 (catalog); Blackwelder, 1947: 770 (catalog). Type locality: Guatemala: San Gerónimo (type material in BMNH).

Material examined. PANAMA: [ PANAMÁ] Las Cumbres , at wall lights, [col.] J. [correct: H] Wolda, May 23, 1978, det. C.W. O’Brien 1981, as Toxonotus vagus Jordan , “jr. Syn. heironymus Jordan” (1, ASUCOB: ASUCOB0014424) .
