Type material. Holotype: male ( NHMC, FC 12160), Dadia National Park, field crops, Site 6, 02– 25.07.2011, leg. K. Zografou. Paratypes: 1 ♀ ( NHMC, FC 12171, used for description), Dadia National Park, pine forest, Site 7, 22.07– 23.08.2011, leg. K. Zografou. Other material examined: Site 6 (b: 1 ♀; c: 2 ♀), Site 15 (b: 1 ♀).
Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, after the region where the type locality is located.
Diagnosis. Phrurolithus thracia sp. n. differs from European and Palearctic species of Phrurolithus by having very large and prominent boomerang-like tegular apophysis. In relation to the shape of the tibial apophysis, it shares similarities with Phrurolithus festivus (C. L. Koch, 1835) , but it differs by its width, being the same in all its length in retrolateral view. Females are easily distinguished from other known species from the shape and position of the introductory ducts and the spermathecae.

Maxillae longer than wide. Labium as long as wide. Sternum heart-shaped, with sparse brown hairs. Legs yellow brown, femur darker. Femur without dorsal spine. Femur I with one ventral spine; tibia I with 5 pairs of ventral spines; metatarsus I with 3 pairs of ventral spines. Femur II without ventral spines; tibia II with 4 pairs of ventral spines; metatarsus II with 2 pairs of ventral spines.
