Comments. Paratrachelas maculatus is the type species of the genus known from France to Crimea and south to Central Anatolia ( Özkütük, Marusik, Kunt, & Danışman, 2011). It was not previously recorded in Israel. Israel is the south-easternmost locality in the range.
