Abbreviated Description. Indumentum densely peltate-lepidote to stellate-tomentose, leaves trifoliolate or pinnate with 2–5(–6) pairs of leaflets, leaflets opposite, mostly 8–15 cm long, apex acuminate to rounded, base attenuate or cuneate, inflorescence mostly 11–20 cm long, a slender to broad pyramidal thyrse, petals (4–)5, free, mostly 3–4 mm long, slightly imbricate, stamens free or filaments fused just above the base, anthers 8–10, nectary a small annulus, ovary (2–)3(–4)-locular, locules with 2 collateral ovules, fruit 1.3–2.2 cm long, 3-valved, ovoid to globose, densely stellate-pubescent, 1–2 collateral seeds in each valve, with fleshy adaxial arillode.
