Ficus gramalotensis Dugand (1942: 49) View in CoL
Lectotype (designated here):— COLOMBIA. Norte de Santander, Cordillera Oriental, vertiente oriental, entre Gramalote y el río Peralonso , 24 July 1940, Cuatrecasas & Garcia-Barriga 10127 (lectotype: COL 3946 About COL !; isolectotype: F!, LIL!).
Nomenclatural notes:— The protologue does not state the herbarium where the holotype of F. gramalotensis was deposited. Berg & Villavicencio (2004) were the first to consider the specimen Cuatrecasas & Garcia-Barriga 10127 (COL) as the holotype of F. gramolotensis ; this could be considered a lectotypification but occurred after 2001 and the required statement “designated here” or a similar phrase ( Turland et al. 2018, Art. 7.11) was not used. Here, we designate Cuatrecasas & Garcia-Barriga 10127 (COL 3946) as lectotype because it contains a branch, leaves, stipules, peduncles, and syconia.
Taxonomical notes:— Ficus gramalotensis is accepted by Dugand (1946) but is synonimized by Berg & Villavicencio (2004) under Ficus crocata .
