( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 4–10 , 12 View FIGURES 11–14 )
Type material. Holotype, male, BRAZIL: Morretes-PR, Brasil ; ( IAPAR); 21–28.i.1985; C.I.I.F. (Malaise). Secondary label: DEPTO ZOOL; UF-PARANÁ. ( DZUP)
Diagnosis: Maxillary palpi brown. Elytra largely yellow, with apical 1/4 brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 4–10 ). Pronotum subpentagonal, lateral margins almost straight, slightly widest at basal margin. Aedeagus with phallobase with short lateroapical thorns, suspensorial arms as long as 1/3 of phallobase length. Junction between base of phallus and phallobase almost as wide as phallus width ( Fig. 12A, C View FIGURES 11–14 ).
Description: Maxillary palpi brown. Pronotum yellow with median brown subtriangular patch. Elytra yellow, with posterior 1/4 dark brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 4–10 ). Basal portion of trochanter and femur yellow.
Eye diameter 1.6× longer than interocular distance. Antennomeres 4–5 of the same length, 1.2× longer than antennomere 3. Maxillary palpomere 2 about 2.7× longer than 3 and 1.3× longer than 4. Pronotum subpentagonal, lateral margins almost straight, slightly divergent posteriorly, basal margin bisinuous, median longitudinal carina forming areola at basal half. Prosternum and mesosternum triangular. Elytra 3.6× longer than humeral width, bearing irregular subrectangular cells. Hind femora 3.1× longer than trochanters. Aedeagus with phallus widened in basal 2/5–3/5 and apex bent in right angle to right in dorsal aspect, narrowing before distal ellipsoid expansion ( Fig. 12A, B View FIGURES 11–14 ). Phallobase elongate, with short lateroapical thorns and triangular suspensorial arms. Junction between base of phallus and phallobase short and almost as wide as phallus width ( Fig. 12A, C View FIGURES 11–14 ). Body length: 5.9 mm, humeral width: 1.4 mm.
Etymology: species name refers to the dark coloration of the elytral tip.
Distribution: Brazil: South region, Paraná state, Morretes municipality ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 ).
