Ground color pale brown with dark brown markings as in ( Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 A, I, 20A B. Forewings with venation dark brown, cells pale brown. Legs pale brown with dark brown markings.

Stouter and shorter compared to species of Japanagallia . Forewings with claval veins connected on right side only, cross veins between outer claval vein and claval suture on right wing, 1–3 m-cu cross veins dividing inner and mesal subapical cells.

Male genitalia. Pygofer narrowed caudally into narrow process directed slightly caudodorsally. Subgenital plates flat, more transparent with lateral marginal hair-like setae on caudal 0.33. Connective heavily pigmented. Aedeagus, simple tube-like, curved first caudally and then dorsally with apical gonopore, preatrium prolonged ventrally bearing caudally directed pair of long ventral processes, each process of uniform width but near caudal end curved slightly laterally and gradually tapered, surface with sparsely distributed setae.

Female. Unknown.

Measurements. Male 3.75 mm long, 1.2 mm wide across eyes.

Material examined. Holotype 3, Yunnan, Yiliang, 1840m, 29.vii.2005, Li Meng ( NWAU).

Distribution. China (Ynnan).

Etymology. The name maculata refers to the dark brown spots on the body of this species.

Remarks. This species has unique coloration of the pronotum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A) and has paired ventral preatrial processes and the caudal lobe of the pygofer narrowed and prolonged caudodorsally.
