Remarks. The Murat Dağ population of this species has been studied multiple times and compared with specimens from the type locality of A. burri , which is Uludağ ( Ünal 2006: 181, 2012: 32, 2018: 27). According to Uluar et al. (2023: 572), A. muratdagensis cannot be differentiated morphologically from A. burri . However, in contrast to Uluar et al. (2023), it is important to note that the populations of this species are not isolated. They are continuously distributed along the Inner Aegean Mountain Ridge, extending from Uludağ to Murat Dağ, and further south to Emir Dağ ( Ünal 2006, 2018) and Ahır Dağ (in Afyonkarahisar Province). Additionally, this species can also be found at lower altitudes between these mountain regions ( Karabağ 1958; Ünal 2006, 2018). Murat Dağ represents just one of the populations of A. burri , situated between Uludağ and Emir Dağ/Ahır Dağ (see also the Remarks section of Anterastes above).
The current findings of Uluar et al. (2023), which involve missing data, do not accurately represent the true species delimitation or the relationship between the two terminal populations. In reality, this relationship is morphologically quite evident. All these populations belong to a single species, A. burri , which is clearly characterized by its titillators, cerci, subgenital plate, and ovipositors.
