Distribution in Iran. East of Iran (no locality cited) (Yari et al. 2014, as D. distracta Tobias ).
Distribution outside Iran. This species is widely distributed in the Palaearctic region ( Papp 2005b). European Russia ( Papp 2005b), Germany, Italy and Russia ( Yu et al. 2012), Hungary, Mongolia ( Papp 2005a; Yu et al. 2012), Japan ( Takada 1977; Papp 2005b; Yu et al. 2012), Korea ( Ku et al. 1998; Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. It was reported from the pupae of Liriomyza bryoniae (Kaltenbach, 1858) ( Takada 1977; Takada and Kamijo 1979; Griffiths 1984; Ku et al. 1998) and Chromatomyia horticola ( Goureau, 1851) ( Takada 1977; Takada and Kamijo 1979; Ku et al. 1998).
