Diagnosis. Forewing length is 14.5–15.5 mm in males (15 mm in the holotype) and 15.5 mm in females. Barsine ivanovamariae sp. n. is a close relative of B. euryphaessa sp. n., but differs externally from it by its much larger size, yellow wing coloration, medial transverse line of forewing being well separated from the antemedial line, much more broadly dentate postmedial line, much shorter subterminal area of forewing, with short spots on veins (in B. euryphaessa sp. n., that is broader and has longitudinal strokes on veins), and narrower submarginal area of hindwing with more diffuse strokes on veins. The male genitalia of both species are very similar, but in B. ivanovamariae sp. n. the medial costal process is significantly narrower, the distal membranous lobe of valva is rectangular with rounded corners (that is rounded in B. euryphaessa sp. n.), the subbasal ventral diverticulum is more elongated and has a cluster of small cornuti basally (that is rounded and has no cornuti in B. euryphaessa sp. n.), the cornuti are more robust in the distal cluster, and the lateral medial cluster of cornuti is shorter than that in B. euryphaessa sp. n. The female genitalia of B. ivanovamariae sp. n. differ from those of B. euryphaessa sp. n. by the more heavily sclerotized postvaginal plate, the antrum being almost rectangular and having no anterior protrusion (that is caliciform with a short anterior protrusion in B. euryphaessa sp. n.), the stronger spinulose scobination of the medial section of corpus bursae and the appendix bursae, and the larger appendix bursae.
Distribution. South-East China (Guangdong) and North Vietnam.
Etymology. The species’ name is dedicated to Dr. Maria S. Ivanova (Barnaul, Russia), the senior author’s wife.
