Polylopha Lower, 1901 View in CoL , Trans. Roy. Soc. S. Australia, 25: 71. Type-species: Polylopha epidesma Lower, 1901 View in CoL .

The mainly Oriental genus Polylopha View in CoL includes nine species, including the present new species and one new combination proposed herein. Diagnostic characters for the genus involve a large and strongly sclerotized signum (variously shaped) in the female genitalia, which differs from the signum of long bundled spines in the related genus Lopharcha (Diaknoff 1974) View in CoL .
