Remarks. Cataleptodius floridanus is very abundant in Barbados and was collected by hand at low tide in nearshore rubble habitat, under rock rubble, on the west coast of Barbados. Rathbun (1921: 69) reported specimens of Leptodius floridanus (one juvenile, USNM 76108; one male, one juvenile female, USNM 76166; four females (three ovigerous), USNM 58006; two males, USNM 76107; three males, USNM 58007) collected in Barbados by the Barbados-Antigua Expedition in 1918. Additionally, Jones (1968a: 158) mentions Leptodius floridanus occurring in Barbados.
