OCCURRENCE. — Ashikajima and Kimigahama Fm.
DESCRIPTION
Pollen grain.Amb subspherical with poles flattened.At the proximal pole, a trilete mark is seen. At the distal pole, a pseudopore 3-7 µm in diameter is present.The rimula delimits a cap about 17-24 µm in diameter.No equatorial ridge is seen.The exine is psilate to slightly punctate. Equatorial diameter = 22-30 µm.
REMARKS
The genus Corollina gathers species from the Keuper without ridge, but it still remains used for the Cretaceous of southeastern Asia.
BOTANICAL AFFINITIES
Pinales View in CoL , Cheirolepidiaceae ( Couper 1958) . Tekleva & Krassilov (2009) suggested an affinity with the Gnetales.
