Heza aurantia View in CoL was described based on several specimens from Trinidad ( Maldonado 1976), with a recent additional record of the species from Ecuador ( Swanson 2021). The four or five spined connexival segments, the vertical discal spines of hind lobe of pronotum arising from black spots and the general orange color ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20–26 ) are sufficient to diagnose this species ( Maldonado 1976, Swanson 2021).
Distribution. Ecuador, French Guiana (new record), Trinidad.
Material examined. FRENCH GUIANA, Region Kaw , pk 28, attracted by light, 11.i.1997, leg. H. Gaspard, 1 male ( MNRJ) .
